• OUR MISSION

    VITRUVIUM is a newly founded organization (501(c)(3) status pending) dedicated to helping artists survive food and shelter insecurity.

    Our mission is to further the cause of amazing art, one artist at a time. While being a "homeless and starving artist" may sound to non-artists like paying dues, we know that not having essential needs met can increase harm and hinder creative performance.

    MUSICAL INSTRUMENT DRIVE FOR WILDFIRE SURVIVORS

    VITRUVIUM will be collecting and organizing musical instrument donations in the greater Detroit area to send to Los Angeles musicians who have lost important tools of their trade.

    We will be accepting good-quality instruments and recording / performance equipment (amps, mics, stands, cables, etc.).

    GROCERY STORE GIFT CARD DRIVE

    VITRUVIUM will be collecting Kroger Family of Company gift cards from philanthropic members of the Detroit community to send to those in the greater Los Angeles area who are food insecure due to the wildfire disaster. These grocery store gift cards can be used at Ralphs and Food4Less, among other localities from their list.

    Whether it's for a professional musician or a kid who lost their clarinet,

    please donate an instrument to wildfire disaster survivors!

    We will arrange shipping and delivery to Los Angeles.

    ART SUPPLY DRIVE

    Donate art supplies such as your unused canvas, paint, brushes, palettes, easel, digital camera, ballet shoes, and more.

    Once we have a distribution resource for art supply donations in Los Angeles, VITRUVIUM will be collecting unused art supplies (or gently used depending on the material) and sending them to artists of all ages affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. We will not accept anything flammable and other items that cannot be shipped.

    SPORTS DRIVE

    With dozens of school buildings affected and thousands displaced by the wildfires, your gently used sports equipment will help people get moving and back to their normal routines. Once we have a distribution resource in Los Angeles, VITRUVIUM will be collecting anything you can give... basketballs, baseballs & softballs, soccer balls, footballs, tennis racquets, gloves, mitts, cleats, jerseys, yoga mats, hockey sticks, helmets, bikes, air pumps, and more.
